अमरपुरी ले चलु हो सजना ।
अमरपुरी की सँकरी गलियां
अड़बड़ ह्वै चढ़ना।
ठोकर लागी गुरज्ञान सबद की,
उधर गये झपना।
वाहि रे अमरपुर लागि बजारिया
सौदा है करना।
वाहि रे अमरपुर संत बसत है
दरसन है लहना ।
संत समाज सभा जहँ बैठी
वाहि पुरुष अपना ।
कहत कबीर सुनो भाई साधो
भवसागर है तरना ।
O my Love!
do take me to that deathless land.
Uneven and narrow are its lanes
it is hard to go up there.
I recalled the Guru's words and went up
hoping to relax on reaching the goal.
Lo! the blessed land has come to sight,
O, here it is, its shops with wares
I wished to buy.
Here behold is the spot
where saints are sitting in a circle
I have to bow before them.
And amidst the saints
is my Love sitting!
Says Kabir - I have to cross
the sea of earthly life yet!
